Tips On Filling Your Vehicles With Fuel

ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... your litre is not exactly a litre.

In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.

ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

Ironman: A Must Watch

If you haven't watched Ironman yet, I suggest you watch it. I didn't expect much of it, but in my opinion, it turned out to be pretty good. I didn't see much story errors, I mean at least they explained how he became Ironman.. unlike Jumper, where a kid falls in the river and wakes up in a library.. No practical reason really. But yeah, Ironman is a hit! Wouldn't mind watching it again, its worth every penny.

Heart Attacks and Drinking Warm Water

The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack...
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line .
You m ay never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

Cancer: A Few Tips To Avoid It

No plastic containers in the microwave.
This especially applies to foods that contain fat. The combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.
No water bottles in freezer.
Freezing your plastic bottles with water in them releases dioxins from the plastic.
No plastic wrap in microwave.
Plastic wrap is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.
A dioxine chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.

Generating Blog Traffic With Less Effort

1. Exchange guest-posts: write a guest post for another blogger, and in return, they write a guest post for you.

2. Promote your site during daily tasks:
* Add your blog link at the end of your e-mail
* If you are active on a forum, add your blog's URL to your forum signature
* Put a link of your blog in your social networking site

3. Practice in-post networking: Finish a few of your posts with a question. Opinion based topics are more likely to get more uptake, especially if you have bloggers who have strong thoughts about what you have written.

4. Release a "Best of E-Book": Freebies always add excitement. So the more freebies you have, the more traffic. An eBook of your ten best posts is a good way to introduce your blog to new readers.

5. Build a Mailing List: E-mailing others to ask them a favor is time-consuming yet rewarding. It could be either asking them to link you, vote for articles or even answer a question.

The Truth About Scientology

I'm sure a lot of us never really knew about Scientology until it was all over the media when Tom Cruise converted. Well, that is how I heard of it. Just a little background on the Church of Scientology: It's teachings developed in 1952 by Hubbard, which is "applied religious philosophy" and the basis for a new religion. Scientology involves advanced teachings such as the story of Xenu, an alien ruler of the "Galactic Confederacy" wherein it states that 75 million years ago, Xenu brought billions of people to Earth in spacecraft resembling Douglas DC-8 airliners, stacked them around volcanoes and blew them up with hydrogen bombs. Their souls clustered together, and Hubbard calls these souls "Body Thetans", and advanced-level Scientologists emphasize on isolating these alien souls and neutralizing their ill effects.

I know it has been made a joke several times, but the real issues involved is that Scientology is not a religion. It is a dangerous cult that kills and ruins lives. In 1976, the Church of Scientology began harassing Paulette Cooper, author of "The Scandal of Scientology" to be incarcerated in a mental institution or jail or at least to hit her so hard that she drops her attacks. In 1878, the creator of Scientology, Hubbard was convicted of fraud and sentenced to prison for four years because of stealing $200 million from the church. On 1977, Lisa Mcpherson became an active member of the church, and spent thousand of dollars per year on self-improvement courses. She spent over $100,000 on the church, and in 1995, when she got a minor car accident, she became mentally unstable and the Church of Scientology took her in for solitary confinement. After 17 days after being taken, 3 Scientologists drive Lisa back to the emergency room but was pronounced dead on arrival. She was underweight, dehydrated, and had bruises and bites from cockroaches. The Church of Scientology was convicted of felony.

Another case was on Josephus Havenith, a Dutchman from Germany who went on a retreat to Scientology's Fort Harrison hotel in Florida. One day, other hotel guests noticed water seeping into the carpet from under his door, and when they went to check him up, they found him dead on the bathtub. The water had been so hot that it burned his skin almost completely off. His death was described as "probably drowning" but the police noted that his head was not underwater.

There are several other "incidents" of suicide on members of the Church of Scientology. Majority of them ended up dead with no cash in their bank accounts, and those that survive get get harassed for more money.

If this is all true, let us hope it will end soon.

Sometimes Spending More Pays Off

A year back in Manila, I was invited to go on a "field trip" down south, but decided not to go because I was not in the mood of traveling.
On the late afternoon, I got a call and found out that my friends who went on the "field trip" got into a bad accident. It was caused by a bus smashing the back of my friends Volvo sedan because the bus has lost its breaks. Due to the collision, their car hit two other cars in front, which caused a bing problem in South Super Highway.
Good news was, none of my friends or any other civilian got hurt. When the car was towed away to the junk yard and tested, the Volvo crew suggested that they would have been dead if they were in any other car. Volvo, being known to be the safest car in the road, saved my friends from any mishaps or deaths.
Apparently, the day before the accident there was another huge accident which involved a bus losing its breaks again, but unfortunately, the people in the other car all died. Volvo can be a very expensive car, but sometimes, money should not be an issue when it comes to a person's life. I mean, there is no point spending on other expensive things if it is nothing but a useless material, but spending on something that can actually save your life will surely be worth a lot more since life is irreplaceable.

The Difference Of Shaving

It's amazing how some girls still do not shave their legs. If you look at the pic (no this is not my legs!) you can see how much difference shaving can do to how your legs look! I guess it could be a cultural thing as well, where some girls do not see the need of shaving.

I know some friends who still do not shave, and some friends who over do it. Some shave their arms and their mustache, but I guess it depends how you want to look and how hairy your body is for a girl.

What do guys think? Would they rather have girls to shave or leave it to be "el natural"?

Ledger Using Cocaine?

The latest news about Heath is that apparently he was using cocaine. He was filmed by two paparazzi in his hotel room taking cocaine. Poor guy, he already passed away and people are still trying to ruin him, although we know he died of mixing six different prescription drugs. People should just leave it to the past, he already gave the world such a good favor by being such a great actor. People should stop making money out of his death! Seriously, what is happening to this world?

Hollywood's Biggest Secrets

I was watching a late night show and came across "Hollywood's Biggest Secrets". And it was actually quite interesting! I'll share the few ones I remember:

Sylvester Stallone was in a porn movie before he got famous. Just as he got famous, they named the movie "Italian Stallion".

One of the hot James Bond girls Caroline "Tula" Cossey was a transvestite. When it was revealed that she was actually a man before he had a surgery, they terminated her modeling career. However, she was the first transvestite on the cover of playboy.

Mark Wahlberg was a rapper and a model before he became a movie star. No wonder why he sang so well in "Rockstar". Very talented Mark!

The movie Fargo was said to be based on a true story, however it is all fiction.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was known to be a big time groper (likes to grab women's asses).

Aaliyah married R. Kelly at the age of 15. Aaliyah listed her age to be 18 so she can be legally married.

What Would You Choose?

When my friend tells me the biggest secret ever, and that I am not to tell anyone, I never would tell anyone. But what if it involves wrong-doing? And the other person involved is your friend too? Is it right to tell the secret so your other friend knows? Or is it better to keep the promise?

I make myself believe that it is better to keep the secret.. If the other person who is involved does not know, it is for them to find out. Its the easiest and only way I can make myself feel better about knowing about it. It's very selfish.. But what can I do? If I tell the secret, I break my promise. And the other person involved can hate me too (as I experience before, the whole story turned around and it looked like I was the bad guy). I know its being very self-centered, and all I am taking into account is myself, and my relationship with my friends. But oh well, I'll just pretend I don't know anything.

Photoshoots

Today and yesterday, I did two different shoots. Yesterday I did a
photo shoot of my friend, just a few pregnant photos so she can show to her mother overseas. Today I tried to do an artistic shoot, a little bit of art mixed with fashion. Please check my Photography Blog to see the latest photos.

What Is Happening To Australia?

Just recently Australia has banned the use of solariums by fair-toned people and people under the age of 18. This was all due to the death of a young woman who suffered from aggressive melanoma, which she claims may have been the cause of using solariums.

Australia is also considering the banning of hand-held laser pointers after being targeted at airplanes and helicopters. Their beams apparently alter the flight paths and causing the pilots severe headaches and blindness from the light.

Another thing is banned games. Australia has banned games like Soldier of Fortune: Payback and Postal Dude. These games, under the Australian law, has a rating higher than MA15+, and therefore refused to be sold because the highest rating that can be slapped on a game is MA15+.

Last example is Australia banning junk-food ads because children are getting overweight and obese. Shouldn't the parents be more responsible for this?

Australia creates a law just after an incident or if someone dies of something. In the long run, everything we do would be illegal. I understand that Australia is trying to be socially responsible by creating laws that would stop having an incident happen again, but in my opinion, Australia is not helping the progress of the country by doing this. I would consider this deprivation, and younger people who know they are banned from doing things will most likely do it to be "cool". It is not possible to ban everything to make everything better. I sense Australia is just doing this to be like a "Big Brother", so people cannot say anything because by the law, it was illegal. Therefore, they cannot be sued for it. This way the Australian government does not take any responsibility for any unlawful acts because people have acted against the legislation.
