Deadly Combination: Chocolate & Dogs

With most dogs considered being part of the family, it is good to be aware that even a 50g piece of chocolate can be lethal to your dog or cat. The reason is cats and dogs cannot tolerate theobromine, one of the key ingredients in chocolate. Theobromine can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, excessive urination or hyperactivity in your pet. They can also develop an irregular heart beat which can lead to a coma, or even death.
